"Let the little children come to me"

Children have their place in the life of the Church.

" Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there”.

(Mt 19: 13-15)

If the family is at the heart of the Church and children are in the heart of families, children are at the heart of the Church! Moreover, they are  a model for us according to the Gospel: " Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven... (Mt 18: 1-5)

Do not be afraid to introduce your children and grandchildren to a life of faith from an early age!

As soon as he is baptized, a child becomes a "child of God": in his own way he participates in the life of the Church, in the Sunday liturgy, in prayer. Let us not be afraid of the presence of children in our celebrations.

In order to reach out to them  and to progress at their own pace, celebrations and adapted courses are also offered (see opposite).

In order to help with their integration into the community help, consult also the pages on catechesis.
